The F Type is more special, sounds better, and (subjectively) looks better. Iā€™ve owned one - a ā€˜15 V8S. Itā€™s fantastic. That being said you better REALLY be sure about the quality of that warranty. Itā€™s gonna spend a lot of time in the shop. I havenā€™t owned a C7, but itā€™s one of my least favorite Vettes, lookswise.
Usually yes, but it does seem to be the only thing Ive read about that people repeatedly bring up related to the S type, usually with some comments about how hard it is to inspect the area properly. Phenomenal driving car with the V6 S engine (V8 feels nose heavy to me). The supercharged v6 is a pretty reliable engine, my friends with F types have mostly had only head unit issues that required a reset. That being said I have heard of lemon f Types. The 718 will be more reliable and hold its value better.
In that respect, I think the base F-type is the best, design-wise. The exhaust is similarly overdone. It wouldn't be so bad if it were just a problem of volume, but the pops and bangs are a bit fatuous.

From what I've seen, they've been very reliable since 2009 with the XF and parts for the XF are no where near as pricey as a German equivelant. The LC is not a sports car and does not drive like one and shouldn't be compared to the Jag, let alone a supercar. The LC is a cruiser with a lovely sound track but I'm not sure why YTers claim it to be anymore. I've found the RCF is the better driver's car even, with better cooling, handling, and just less heavy.
