I bought through steam, I load the game and the little windows shows where it says Assassin's Creed Odyssey and 5 sec later screen goes black like it's loading into the game, but then it crashes and I get a crash report I have i7 5820k @ 4.5ghz.

Toinstall Assassin's Creed Origins, you need the Ubisoft Club PC app installed. Once installed, sign in with your ubisoft account you have linked to your Xbox account, then try installing the game again from the Xbox app. It should start the download from the ubisoft Club app. If my answer has helped, then please press yes at the bottom

3 I went to Steam\steamapps\common\Assassins Creed 3\Support\GameLauncher and installed Uplay with the installer there. 4) I started Uplay on its own using the shortcut on my desktop (NOT through Steam). I let it update to the newest version. After updating, it closes, and won't open/crashes. 5) I rebooted my computer.
Letsteam open ubisoft connect when it tries to launch the game. I had this same issue and it seems like the activation of the game doesn't trigger if you have ubisoft connect open already. So stupid. If you let the steam open ubisoft connect it'll register the game and then launch properly after that. Unfortunately that doesn't work.Hereis an article I just found with the problems people are having, included in it is mentioned the Phenom CPU issue. I'll quote the segment underneath the link. Some users have been experiencing this issue that their game is not launching at all and one thing is common that these users are using AMD Phenom CPUs.
Theubisoft launcher recognizes my controller and I even press A to launch AC origins. When it gets to the main menu and doesn't recognize my controller. Igot the same poroblem with my game, so same logo as u have Warrter, it reminds me of Syndicate when i purchased. So i purchased Syndicate in 2016th April and whne i downloaded game, it was just stuck on logo and did not work, so i tried to download game to c drive, still the same problem and i delete the game completely.GZcqpr.
