Elden Ring is an action… Players must explore and fight their way through the vast open-world to unite all the shards, restore the Elden Ring, and become Elden Lord. In detail. We all know he supposedly worked on the game in some aspect, presumably with regards to the lore. But what was the extent of his contribution? I'm a huge fan of the Song of Ice and Fire books and souls games. I want to know what aspects of the lore of elden ring were created by Martin. If indeed that knowledge exists "Years in the making, Elden Ring was released last week, and has been taking the gaming world by storm. But don’t listen to me. FromSoftware brought me on to do their worldbuilding, so I can hardly pretend to be objective." George R. R. Martin, 2022. Those are the best bits I could find. Essentially George did a bit of world building.
George RR Martin talks about working on Elden Ring. “Working on Elden Ring was great cause I didn’t have anything else going on at the time!”. Sadly, I have given up any hope for him to finish the series. What a bummer, but life goes on I guess. You can watch the recap of his books on HBO go.

Not to mention the coincidence of certain character/boss names with George RR Martin’s initials. This subreddit consolidates two major parts of character customization in Elden Ring: Bling (fashion) and character creation. In his interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, George R. R. Martin carefully stated "But they made it clear that, Elden Ring was going to take place in, let’s say- 'the present' of their game universe" In my opinion, this confirms what has already been speculated, that Elden Ring is a continuation of the Dark Souls universe Speculation. In an interview with George R. R. Martin, he said that Elden Ring is a "sequel to Dark Souls". Miyazaki already, however, said that the two games take place in different worlds. But the painted world of Ariandel counts as a different world! What if your character in Dark Souls 3 gave the painter the Blood of the Dark Soul and
